How we test

Every Odoo blog can describe a feature. Almost none of them run it first. This page says exactly what we do before we publish a claim, so you can decide how much to trust one.

What "Tested on" means

Every article carries a build number, or it carries no badge at all. Tested on 19.4 means the behaviour described was reproduced on an Odoo 19.4 instance we control, with the screenshots taken from that run. It does not mean we tested every adjacent feature, and it does not mean the behaviour survives an upgrade.

Articles with no badge assert nothing measurable — opinion, market reading, news. We would rather show an empty field than imply a test that never happened.

Where we test

Self-hosted Odoo instances, Community and Enterprise, running on our own servers rather than on a shared demo. We keep a bench of older releases alongside the current one, because "this changed in 19" is a claim that needs 18 running next to it to be worth printing.

When a feature only exists on Odoo Online, we say so and we say what we could not verify.

What we do when the answer is unflattering

We publish it. An article that concludes a feature is not ready is more useful than one that does not, and a publication incapable of reaching that conclusion is worth nothing. Odoo does not review anything before you read it, and no article has ever been paid for.

Corrections

When we get something wrong we fix the article, and the Last revised field at the top changes with it. Substantive corrections are stated in the text rather than quietly patched — the version you read and the version you come back to should not silently differ.

Found an error? Write to us. Corrections from readers are the cheapest quality control there is.

Who writes this

Odoo AI Skills is written by an Odoo consultant who has been implementing the software for clients since 2018 through ADICOPS, and who also publishes OdooSkills in French. The instances used for testing here are the same ones used for real client work — which is why the failure modes described tend to be the ones that actually bite.

The publisher is Odoo & AI Skills LLC, a New Mexico company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Odoo S.A., and it is not an Odoo partner. How the site earns money is set out on the affiliate disclosure page.

What we are not

Not a support desk, not a partner directory, not a neutral encyclopedia. This is one practitioner's tested reading of where AI meets Odoo, published under a name you can hold to it.
